ABOUT

I’m Deputy Editor at UK Marie Claire, a leading international brand with a reputation for provocative journalism and inspirational fashion. We talk to over 6 million women every month through 15 different platforms including print, online, social media and events. So if you’ve got an idea for a story or collaboration, you’re in the right place.

I've been a journalist for 15 years and have worked as an editor and writer across print, TV, and digital media. As well as working on the commissioning desk at The Daily Mail, I spent over four years as a Senior Features Writer at the newspaper, was staff News Features Director at Grazia and Features Writer at Glamour. I've also freelanced for The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 and many more.

MY STORY

As Deputy Editor at Marie Claire I oversee content for the brand working across news, health, relationships, lifestyle and global investigations on all platforms. I also look after the @work franchise which involves overseeing the careers supplements and events such as @work live and our annual Future Shapers awards. The highlight is overseeing the direction of many of our widely recognised charity campaigns and commercial partnerships.

In the past, as an undercover investigative reporter, I travelled the world with the Daily Mail and Channel 4, exposing everything from child labour in India to rogue surgeons in Moscow creating stem cell beauty treatments from aborted foetuses. I’ve secretly filmed money-grabbing doctors on Harley Street for Channel 4's hit show The Ugly Face of Beauty and gone undercover on celebrity yachts in Cannes and Monaco to investigate the casting couch tradition that exploits vulnerable young models during festival season.

One year, I spent 3 weeks hanging out with British Premiership footballers at the height of the infamous 'roasting' scandal to expose just what they get up to off the pitch.

Having been responsible for a hard hitting feature on rape that won Marie Claire its first Amnesty Award, I'm honoured to be a judge and presenter at the annual Amnesty Media Awards each year, which recognise outstanding human rights journalism worldwide. I'm also an experienced public speaker and presenter, have chaired career and journalism workshops and continue to be a mentor to others trying to break into the industry
